I have never been so excited to sew! You Ladies have made my day.. ok MONTH!! I never thought that I would SELL OUT with over 10 yards of these fabrics, nor did I think that I would be shipping packages to Europe! I LOVE IT!!!

With that love and excitment I am still working very hard on some new items. I have been asked my several if I will do anything M2M Gymboree, OF Course!!! I love Gymboree! I am working on matching three matching collections and these are perfect for the summer!! Flamingos, Fish, and Turtles!! Giving Back in honor of my

Little Levi....

I feel I have been given the opportunity to share with everyone my talents, my blessings, so in return I feel it is only right to return my blessings to others. While I can't dress the world in bLaSk Designs, I can share my profit with needed areas of the world. With all this said I have struggled with the right place, which would truly use the money for Good!

Above is a picture of my cousin and her family. My cousin has brought such wonderful inspiration to my life. Our fun times go back into the good ole' days and with our personalities will continue into the golden days! Can you imagine my delight when I found out we would have boys about the same age difference apart as we are!
Oh what payback are we going to have! I started to beg forgiveness to my parents, my aunt and my poor dear grandmother who kept us every day!

In February 2007, our family grew and we were blessed with Levi. This is where my inspiration begins; Levi was born with Down Syndrome. I cried and prayed and prayed and cried. I didn't know how this first time mother and father would handle the news. My prayers were answered when I first saw Stacey after Levi was born. This amazing smile was on her face, and all was at peace! Levi has had several problems in his little life, some related to being a Down baby and some not, and to my amazement that smile gets bigger and bigger every time I see Stacey! The Funny thing about smiles, is that they are contagious! No matter what is going on with Levi he is always searching the room, and smiling for his guest! And if Barney is on you might even get a little dance!

A simple Smile makes my day! I love to do things to make others smile! So when I see this smile, especially when I can only imagine what all that day held for her, it truly motivates me to continue to go on and lead the day with a Smile!

So all this time I have been wrapped up in what I wanted to do, but wanted to make sure it was the right thing to do, it was like a light bulb went off and said LEVI!

Our family has had to learn so much about Down Syndrome, so that we all may be aware! I have found that Down Syndrome Awareness isn't as popular as it needs to be. We have found most of our information and help from The National Down Syndrome Congress. I made the commitment to Levi to make sure that other families will be able to find this same helpful information that has blessed our family.

My commitment is to give back to the National Down Syndrome Congress 10% of all profits from bLAsK Designs.

This Mei Tai Carrier is wonderful, wish I would of known about the joys of sewing when my wee man was still able to sit still long enough to be strapped to me! Ohh no don't get me wrong the carrier would still hold him, even though he is 27LBS, he just wouldn't end up attached to me, it would be more like I was attached to him! And since being dragged behind a 2 year old really isn't the look I would be going for, I better just leave him be!!!

I was out and about reading this afternoon when I stumbled upon Big Momma and her Fashion Fiesta!!!

Ok so here is the Low Down on me participating. Our Secret... No one go and do anything silly like post this on the Internet.. Their will be no pics in my blog of the beautiful clothes that surround my life.. because shhhhhh I am at WORK!!!

With that off my chest, Lets move on!

My Closet.. umm well it is in need of the Red Cross Disaster Relief Team, because I swear a tornado or some other natural disaster hit one day when I was at work! It is terrible, the clothes were slung all over the floor, random earrings covering the ground, and shoes.. well it is just so sad I really don't like to talk about it much!

Baby Bangs mentioned Forever 21.... oh yes the tops and jeans are working again my life this summer.. it is so fun to see how many different combos you can get out of them.. and don't you love the price! And I have to agree with her on the jean issue... The quality of these jeans far out weighs the price. I have had one pair for 4 years and they still feel sooo good...

I Survived Spring Break with 5 Kids!

I feel the need to make a t-shirt! It would be an HONOR to wear one!! haha!

So I had this week of fun I was going to tell you all about, but I should of known better than to prepare you all for a wonderful Happy Story... well at least it will make you Giggle!!!

These are the REAL "DAYS OF OUR LIVES"

Wednesday went great! I found this F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S Sewing and Craft Store in Columbia, so I was in HUGE Hurry to get there! My mom and I loaded up all the kids and took off! We spent hours there! My kids were screaming and chasing each other all over the store.....but I just ignored them (hahaha, but seriously) and kept on in my fabric wonder land! It was amazing and the women in the shop were super friendly, and of course said my kids weren't bothering anyone (they lied so I would keep piling my fabric up, its ok I am very aware!)

Thursday, this is were it all begins... "pay attention" (Layton says this in his little baby voice sooo cute)! We headed out for the Zoo! Above is the picture of Layton getting ready (I shouldn't been more worried that he was putting on my stuff, but I just thought it was cute, he was doing what I do, well) We were all excited to get there (again) and I drove us up EARLY in the AM so that we wouldn't get stuck in ANY RAIN... umm! We got out of the car and I about FROZE! The wind was terrible and where was the "It's going to be a NICE day to be outside" weather the always truthful Weather Man Promised! We got inside and found a wonderful

STARBUCKS COFFEE STAND.... Alright! I screamed out, this is my kinda Zoo!

So we drank and walked and drank and walked and pee'd and walked and drank and walked! A whole lot more walking than I remembered, but the last time I had been I was the one skipping around, NOT the one holding the camera, screaming for everyone to stay together, begging the man to put the 5 kids with me in the cage I promised I'd be back, or pushing the stroller, feeding the hungry, etc....

But all kidding aside we did have a wonderful COLD morning together at the Zoo! I got the biggest kick out of these Goats! They were so funny! They would jump up on the fence if you would even walk near the feeding machine! We laughed and screamed (one sneezed on Stephi and we all screamed, I thought he was going to bite her! Then we laughed when she yelled out "Ewe it is all over my face"!

and Of course we saw the Fishies and had a great time gawking at them.....

Then my favorite.... Layton yelled "Thems BiG BiG DoGs"

So What is so bad you might ask yourself...

This little booger can't be up to anything!!! Look how sweet and innocent his face is!! He would NEVER do anything to bring his mother to tears... especially not on Spring Break, when she took off work to be with him and his precious self!!

Well what you can't see in this pic is:

He was suppose to be napping in his portable crib, when he found his daddy's shaving bag and decided to take a HUGE chunk of skin off his finger. When I went to get him up from his nap he was COVERED with blood! I freaked out and screamed, making my mother scream, which in turn lead to a very nervous father.... all for a "little" scratch my hubby said!

He also decided that he didn't get everything out of the car and reached back in when the automatic door was closing and before I could do anything (yep you've guessed the very painful sentence that is next) His little thumb (on the opposite hand from the "scratch") got caught in the door! If you have never experienced this, I hope you never do! I was scared out of my mind, but the doctor checked it yesterday and he is alright the swelling shouldn't last more than another week!

His brothers and sisters popped the ball that is on his head, so he thought that it would be cute to suck the last of the air out and stick it on his head. It's ok, so Poison Control says!

Sunday we celebrated his birthday at my grandmothers house and while he was trying to stop everyone from enjoying his cake with him, he fell out of the chair and straight onto the Floor....

That is when I said, it's ok, we're leaving!

We did overall have a great time, and I did get to spend a lot of time with my grandmother!!

Spring Break

So I am taking spring break off to spend with my kiddies...

We have wonderful plans in South Carolina of the zoo, fun zone, the state museums, skating, and of course marketing! I am so excited to have several days off to enjoy the kids, they are just all growing up too fast! I love the fact that we will also be in town with family so that we can visit and stay awhile for a change. I also love the fact that my parents will be around so that the hubby and I can get out and about town without the kids! That is one of my most favorite things about going home!

While in SC I plan to visit the local boutiques in the area and meet with more potential buyers. It is exciting to see more of a light at the end of a tunnel! I have been welcomed so much by my hometown and well state that I love the chance to get out and do more! I have just found a HUGH Fabric and Quilt store minutes away from my mom's house and since I will be there without the hubby for a few days, I thought I might be able to bribe the kids with a trip to Fun Zone if they could stand the Fabric Delight! Ohhh I pray it will be a good day..hahaha!

So I wanted to also give a quick WoooWhooooo to a Wonderful Designer and Friend, Aimee of SewSensible. First, she is amazing with her pattern designs! Second, She has always pumped me up when I doubt myself! Her sweet comments and thoughtfulness is always very much appreciated and always at just the right time! I love to read her blog ! I love to read the stories about her "Team" of a family and about her upcoming designs! She is an amazing women and we all are blessed to have her around the sewing world!

Ok, I have also used Aimee's pattern Faith Double Layer Top to create the new items listed on the website! Please do go and check them out. I have the new English Garden Collection featured as well, I hope that you will enjoy!

I will get you posted on the outcome of the fabric store when I return, and no I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth, my dad still hasn't got the Internet hooked up at his house so I will be "out of Space" until I return!!!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their Easter! I know I always love spending time with my family and of course I really love the meal time!!
I must say nothing beats my grandmothers cooking, and the older I get the better the food gets! It also amazes me that no matter how many eggs you hide they seem to be picked up in less than 1.2 seconds.
WoW! I must say that I do need more hours in the day. I am hoping to get some pictures made and items posted to the website. The Easter Dresses pictured above are from my new collection English Garden! I have enjoyed creating these items and hope that all of you will enjoy them as well!

I can't finish this entry without giving a BIG WHOOOHOOOO to Pappashop! They are amazing. The first go round with an website company (you know it starts with g and has an o ends with daddy) left me a little (or a LOT) scared!!! Pappashop does it all- Their customer service is amazing and they even humored my scared-e-cat questions! I must say I have never felt so comfortable with a web host before in my life! They truly set up everything, and then they have their idiot proof (yep, I can use it!) way of formatting your pages and your items......

I am finally ready to start Easter outfits for the kiddies in my house, ohhhh wait we have St. Patty's Day first, and yes they have picked out fabric...

Well, When the time comes, I am excited to start on the Easter Basket Pattern from SewSensible, and finally get something together for them to wear to the egg hunt, of course to match the basket...

ohhhh and maybe I will find the time to work on the pile I have created in my mind of clothes for the spring and summer...

Ok not really, but it is getting close, and I am getting ready to release the new 08' Spring Line for bLaSk!

Here is a "sneak peak"! I am so excited about these outfits that I couldn't even wait until daylight to make good pictures, I got Bebop out of the bed, dressed her in a still half sleep state, and well made fun of her until she smiled. The backdrop is of the chalkboard in the playroom, another mess that I have been too busy to tackle, but hey that is why it is called a playroom, right?

Ok enough with the ramble....

Here it is... and of course I want to know what you think, and if all goes well I hope to have this line finished and listed in my Etsy store this weekend.

Youcanmakethis.com has literally changed my sewing life completely! I didn't even know what sewing machine was 6 months ago, and now I am selling my creations to strangers (not just my poor family who felt sorry for me in the beginning... you know when they open up the gift and *pause* then say "ohhh how cute")!

The website in a whole is wonderful, if you haven't checked it out you are missing out BIG TIME!! The ebooks and epatterns are wonderful, and my kids actually want to wear this stuff, unlike some of the store bought patterns that I still haven't figured out all the way!

I have purchased sooo many patterns and look daily for new ones! I also am a bit "stalkerish" with the "I made this" section. I get so many wonderful ideas and different uses for the patterns!

My only wish is that they would finally realize what is coming up, unseal those lips girls! I know it is going to be something wonderful, that is why I am sooooo demanding!! ha!

My family reunion is this Saturday, and I really wanted to make it special for my girls and to make my Grandmother Smile! At the reunion we sit around and talk about "the good ole days", which in turn makes my Grandmother upset because of the loss of all of the loved ones we are remembering!
I found this wonderful fabric at SawMamaSew, of Paper Dolls! My Great Grandmother Lucy would sit around and cut out these paper dolls for my cousins and I when we would visit. We would then color the outfits for the dolls and hang the garlands all over the old mill house.
I am so excited to drive up and have my three little princesses hop out the car in the outfits that I made in honor of my Great Grandmother. Yes, there will be tears, but tears of joy! I can't wait for my Grandmother to see the outfits made to honor her mother.
The house where the reunion is held is owned by my Great Aunt Patsy, it is the house where my Great Grandmother was born!! Oh what a day, I am so excited!
I am going to make some little token of a gift out of the fabric for my Grandmother, my Aunt Patsy, my Mom, and my moms sister~
I will post pictures on Sunday of the girls in the dresses!! YEAH!

I am thrilled to share my "duds" with you! I have just started out in my own business! A Lot has happened for me to be here alone, but yesterday is gone and today you can change the world..right!

I am obviously very new to blogging. I have enjoyed everyones links over the past couple of month, and thought that although I am too new to share any helpful information other than, WhAt NoT tO dO, I should give this blog thing a shot!
